The following Policies are followed and enforced

 Policy Notification: We appreciate that you have chosen us for your massage and body work needs. To provide the best service possible to our clients we have implemented the following policies-- 


Found in our Intake Forms: I hereby state that, to the best of my knowledge, my answers to the above questions [found in your intake forms] are correct. I agree and consent to assessment and treatment. I understand that my personal health information will be collected. I understand that all information that I provide will be kept confidential unless required by law. I understand and consent that my medical information may be shared by the various care providers involved in my care and treatment. Treatments may be covered by extended health care plans. I understand that it is my responsibility to confirm the exact details of my coverage.


At our clinic, we prioritize a clean and comfortable environment for both clients and therapists. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who does not practice good personal hygiene. This includes those who have not showered, peeling from sunburns, covered in dirt, or smell of body odor. 


Standard procedure requires us to have you update intake forms and consent to our policies ONCE PER YEAR. If you have any changes in health or medications since your last appointment, please let your massage therapist know.

Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and conditions are followed

Gift Certificate ordered before January 1st, 2023? You will need to call or text our office to make the appointment. The system does not recognize that it is for a service, not dollar amount.


  • Massage gift certificates are written out for a SERVICE, not a dollar amount
  • Massage gift certificates are NOT redeemable for cash. 
  •  Expires 6 months from date of purchase: massage must be scheduled before this date to be valid. 
  • All Gift Certificates comply with our Late Arrival, No-Show and Cancellation policies.
  • Massage gift certificate must be presented before massage is given. 
  • If you have forgotten the massage gift certificate you will be expected to pay full price for the scheduled massage.
  • If redeeming past expiration, a $20 reactivation fee is required.

  • I understand that therapeutic massage is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment or medications.
  • I understand that the massage therapist does not diagnose illnesses or injuries, or prescribe medications.

I Therefore Release the Company and the Individual massage therapist from ALL liability concerning these injuries that may occur during the massage session.

  • I understand the importance of informing my massage therapist of all medical conditions and medications I am taking, and to let the massage therapist know about any changes to these. I understand that there may be additional risks based on my physical condition.
  • I understand that it is my responsibility to inform my massage therapist of any discomfort I may feel during the massage session so he/she may adjust accordingly.
  • I understand that I or the massage therapist may terminate the session at any time.
  • I have been given a chance to ask questions about the massage therapy session and my questions have been answered.

Massage Therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes ONLY. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SEXUAL COMPONENT TO MASSAGE WHATSOEVER. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of ANY and ALL services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

 Cancellation & Pre-Payment Policy


Effective June 1, 2023

To better serve all of our clients and reduce disruptions caused by last-minute cancellations and no-shows, Deep Kneads Massage has updated its cancellation and pre-payment policy.


All clients are now required to pre-pay when booking their next appointment. Appointments will not be held without payment. This helps us ensure availability for those who are committed to receiving care and allows our therapists to manage their schedules more efficiently.


We respectfully request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your scheduled appointment. If you cancel or reschedule with more than 48 hours’ notice, your pre-payment will be held as a credit on your account for future use.


However, if you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, or fail to show, you will be charged 100% of the service amount, and no refunds will be issued. This applies to appointments made online, over the phone, or by text.


We understand that emergencies and illness can happen. In those cases, we’re happy to apply your pre-payment as an account credit to be used at a later date. We simply ask that you notify us as soon as possible so we can adjust accordingly.


No-Show or No Call

Not showing up for an appointment without proper notification will result in an AUTOMATIC 100% of service fee.


We reserve the right to require a credit card number or pre-payment to be given to book appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation or no-show does occur. We reserve the right to charge your card placed on file to uphold this policy. 


We understand that emergencies can arise and illness does occur at inopportune times. IF you have a FEVER, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, we REQUEST THAT YOU CANCEL your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for cancellations. We will do our best to give advanced notice if we are closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and we ask you to do the same. Please DO NOT risk your own safety trying to make it to your appointment. Late cancellations due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed session charges but this is determined on a case-by-case basis. 


We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to provide the best possible care for all of our clients. If you have any questions about this policy or need assistance rescheduling, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our services are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. 


This means you CANNOT book under your name and then give that appointment time and payment to another person. If you would like to get someone a massage, you would need to either book under their name or purchase a gift certificate.

We request that you arrive at least 15  minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions your therapist may have. We understand that issues can arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. However, we ask that you call to inform us if this ever occurs so we can do our best to accommodate you. Appointment times are reserved for each client. So oftentimes we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time may result in a loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. 100% of service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return, we will do our best to be on time, and if we are unable to do so we will add time to your session to make up for OUR late arrival or adjust the service charge accordingly.

 MEMBERSHIP DESIGNATION & DEFINITIONS


DEFINITION OF “THE MEMBERSHIP”: For the purposes of this Agreement, the specific plan selected above, including all associated perks, access rights, and pricing, shall be referred to collectively throughout this document as “The Membership.” Any reference to “The Membership” shall be legally binding upon the Member regardless of the specific tier or promotional designation assigned at the time of execution.


1. MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW & PERKS

By enrolling in “The Membership,” the Member is entitled to the following exclusive benefits at Deep Kneads Massage, LLC (DKM):

  • Unlimited Sauna Access: Unlimited access is subject to pre-booking and availability. Access is available Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, subject to facility capacity, the existing booking schedule, and excludes major holidays, such as but not limited to, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
  • Facility Occupancy & Accessibility: To ensure privacy and safety, sauna sessions are strictly SINGLE-OCCUPANCY. Only one individual is permitted in the sauna room per scheduled session. While DKM provides a ramp for facility entry, Member acknowledges that the sauna unit itself is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Tiered Service Discounts: Members receive one (1) discount per month, consisting of:
  • $10.00 OFF a 60-minute “Swedish/Deep/Therapeutic Massage” or greater length of time. Can not be combined with other offers or promotions.
  • Monthly Guest Pass: Member is granted one (1) single-use guest sauna pass per month.
  • Guest passes do not roll over.
  • The Member must schedule the guest session and provide the guest’s full name, email, and phone number at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
  • Guests are required to sign all liability waivers before facility use. Guests may utilize the session without the Member present. Member accepts full financial responsibility for the conduct of their guest. DKM reserves the right to charge the Member’s card on file for any and all but not limited to: damages, cleaning fees, and/or legal costs resulting from Guest’s actions.
  • DKM reserves the right to refuse facility access to any guest at its sole discretion.
  • PRICING & “LIFETIME” RATE GUARANTEE
  • A. RATE PROTECTION: Deep Kneads Massage, LLC (DKM) agrees to a “Price Lock Guarantee” for active Members in good standing. This guarantee ensures that the Member’s monthly rate for The Membership will not increase for the duration of their continuous, uninterrupted membership, subject to the conditions in subsection (B).
  • B. MARKET ADJUSTMENT & CESSATION OF TIER: DKM reserves the right to adjust membership rates to reflect current market conditions, inflation, and/or increased overhead under the following circumstances:
  • Tier Discontinuation: If the specific membership tier is retired, renamed, or substantially restructured, DKM may transition the Member to the then-current market rate for the most comparable service tier with sixty (60) days' written notice.
  • Lapse in Membership: Any cancellation, failure to resolve a declined payment within five (5) business days, and/or failure to reactivate from “Maintenance Mode” within the maximum allotted three (3) month freeze period will result in the immediate forfeiture of the “Price Lock Guarantee.” Subsequent re-enrollment will be at the then-current market rate.
  • General Rate Increase: DKM reserves the right to implement a general membership rate increase for all members (including those with a “Price Lock”) not to exceed 10% per calendar year, provided sixty (60) days’ written notice is given.


2. INITIAL TERM & AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

  • 3-MONTH COMMITMENT: This membership requires a minimum initial term of three (3) consecutive months.
  • EARLY CANCELLATION: If a Member cancels prior to the completion of the 3-month term, the membership will remain active and billing will continue until the three-month obligation is fulfilled.
  • AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: Following the initial term, the membership will automatically renew on the 1st of each month unless canceled in accordance with Section 7.


3. PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

  • AUTHORIZATION: Member authorizes Deep Kneads Massage, LLC to charge the card on file for monthly dues on the 1st of each month.
  • NO-REFUND POLICY: Membership fees are non-refundable, the Member is committed to the 3-month initial term at time of purchase. No refunds will be issued for 'change of mind' or 'lack of use'. DKM is not liable for refunds if the Member fails to utilize the facility or services provided during their active term. If accidentally purchased online member has 24-hours from time of purchase, provided no services or facility access have been utilized, to rectify the mistake in order to retain a refund. If a refund is given, all refunds are subject to a $10.00 USD Processing Fee, to cover non-refundable merchant soul-charges and labor.
  • FAILED PAYMENTS: Failed payments must be resolved within five (5) business days to avoid immediate suspension of benefits and a late fee of $20.00 USD.


4. ATTENDANCE & BOOKING ABUSE

  • 48-HOUR CANCELLATION: A 48-hour notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide notice results in the forfeiture of that session credit or guest pass.
  • NO-SHOW PENALTY: To ensure facility availability, DKM monitors booking patterns. If a Member fails to show up for five (5) consecutive scheduled sauna sessions, DKM reserves the right to cancel any and all future or reoccurring sauna sessions and charge a $35.00 No-Show Fee to the card on file.


5. MEMBERSHIP FREEZE (MAINTENANCE MODE)

  • MAINTENANCE FEE: Members may “freeze” their account for up to three (3) months per calendar year for a $10.00 monthly Maintenance Fee. This ensures the Member maintaining their original rate for as long as this specific membership tier is offered by DKM. To change your account status to "freeze" you must call our office, (208)-705-6025, and complete the process with a member of our staff. 
  • MEDICAL NECESSITY: Upon provision of a doctor’s verification, a one-time extension of an additional three (3) months may be granted, for a total maximum freeze of six (6) months in a two year period. The monthly Maintenance Fee of $10.00 USD will continue for the additional (3) months after which the members account will be automatically reinstated and the regular price of the membership will continue. To extend your "freeze" status you must call our office, (208)-705-6025, and complete the process with a member of our staff. 
  • RESTRICTIONS: Access to perks and services is suspended during the freeze period(s).


6. CONDUCT & TERMINATION FOR CAUSE

DKM maintains a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. DKM reserves the right to terminate a membership immediately, without refund, including but not limited to:

  • Any form of sexual harassment, exploitation, or public indecency.
  • Engaging in sexual acts on the premises.
  • Abuse of booking policies or disruption of the peaceful wellness atmosphere.
  • Violation of professional conduct standards or disrespect toward staff.
  • Physical injury to staff or other guests.
  • MINORS: All members and guests must be 18 years of age or older. Use by minors is prohibited unless accompanied by a parent/guardian and approved in writing by DKM management.
  • PRIVACY & RECORDING: Photography and video recording are strictly prohibited in the sauna and treatment areas to protect the privacy of all patrons.


7. CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

  • 15-DAY NOTICE: Whether you enroll online or in-person or over the phone, you may cancel online through your Member Portal. You are required to cancel your subscription membership 15 days prior to the 1st of the month to stop the next billing cycle.
  • Example: Notice provided on the 12th stops the 1st of the next month. Notice provided on the 20th results in one final charge on the 1st.
  • POST-CANCELLATION: Any unused promotional sessions or discounts must be used within 30 days of the final active billing date or they will be forfeited. If any special discount was applied to this membership all promotions are also forfeit and any re-enrolling into “The Membership” will be at the non-promotional rate.


8. HSA/FSA DISCLOSURE

Member is solely responsible for determining the eligibility of DKM services under their HSA/FSA plan. Member is responsible for obtaining a “Letter of Medical Necessity” from their Primary Care Physician (PCP). DKM is not liable for denied claims or financial penalties resulting from HSA/FSA use toward “The Membership” Sauna subscription membership.


9. RIGHT TO MODIFY & LEGAL PROTECTIONS

  • INTEGRATION & MODIFICATION: This document represents the entire Agreement between the parties. DKM reserves the right to modify prices and services with 30 days' notice. This Agreement remains valid for any successors or assigns of DKM ownership.
  • SEVERABILITY: If any part of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
  • FORCE MAJEURE: DKM shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance due to causes beyond its control, including equipment breakdown or utility failure. No refunds shall be issued for temporary closures.
  • PERSONAL PROPERTY: DKM is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal property brought onto the premises.
  • Failure of DKM to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of its right to enforce that or any other provision in the future


10. LIABILITY WAIVER & MEDICAL WARNINGS

  • ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Member acknowledges the inherent risks of sauna use (e.g., hyperthermia, dehydration, fainting).
  • MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS: Member represents they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and do not suffer from conditions (e.g., heart disease, pacemaker) making heat therapy unsafe.
  • RELEASE: Member hereby RELEASES AND DISCHARGES Deep Kneads Massage, LLC from all claims for personal injury or property loss arising from facility use.
  • LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Total damages for any claim shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by Member to DKM in the preceding twelve (12) months.
  • GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement is governed by the laws of Idaho. Disputes shall be settled via individual arbitration in Bannock County and Member waives the right to participate in class-action lawsuits.


NOTICE TO CONSUMER: THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL AGREEMENT. YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED MONTHLY UNLESS YOU CANCEL PER THE METHODS OUTLINED IN SECTION 7.

Some questions you may have regarding your upcoming massage appointments or future scheduling:

How do you sanitize?

We have always cleaned the room and sanitized in between appointments, and will continue to do so. By cleaning any and all tools used during the appointment with hot water, soap and rubbing alcohol, changing sheets, airing out room between appointments with open door, and sanitizing surface areas with Lysol.


Do you treat clients who are sick?

NO- if you are ever sick in ANY way, DO NOT come in. We have always required this of clients and our Massage Therapists to reduce the spread of ANY sickness.


What are your COVID Prescreen procedures?

During the worst of the pandemic, we required clients to prescreen before every appointment which included stating if they have any symptoms or been around people with possible symptoms etc. Now it is assumed that when you confirm your appointment that you are not sick and will not be a risk to our massage therapist and other clients.


Do you require masks to be worn? 

Our clients' health is of the utmost priority. We follow CDC guidelines- those who have been vaccinated do not have to wear a mask. We expect clients to use their best judgement for their health. For clients who decide to wear a mask, they are informed of the dangers of wearing a mask while face down. This is to say that when you lay on your stomach it applies pressure to the lungs and reduces the amount of oxygen intake, coupled with the pressure added during a massage and the reduction of oxygen that masks create which can lead clients to pass out. The real danger is in that the massage therapist will not fully be able to tell the difference if you are asleep or passed out.


Does massage help overcome sickness?

NO, there are several contraindications of receiving massages while sick. Massage activates increased blood flow and helps to drain lymph. Because of this it can make you even more sick. By draining the lymph into a faster blood flow, the virus can travel faster than if you let your body do the work at rest. Thus, you can feel more sick.

BUT massage is beneficial after you have healed from the sickness and are no longer contagious. Because massage helps the lymphatic system drain any lingering by-products in the lymph, this can give you similar symptoms you had when sick.


What if it I think it is just allergies?

We trust clients to know and be honest if they are actually having seasonal allergies verses being sick and will work on them. 


Can essential oils benefit sickness?

Essential oils do not claim to cure all or be completely fool proof. Everyone reacts differently to their use. If requested, the use of essential oils can be applied during your massage.


What are the risks?

Just like any other sickness, we can not guarantee that you will not come into contact with these viruses/diseases/etc. That is a risk you accept every time you exit your home. We will do our best to keep things clean and sanitized as always. You accept this risk when you schedule and keep your massage appointments.


What do I expect from my clients?

We ask each of you to be respectful of those around you.  If you think you are coming down with something, please STAY HOME. If you think you will be putting others at risk please stay home.
